Swimming against the tides of artistic depression and economic recession...710 Mifflin Street in South Philadelphia was a place where love and unity flourished. It was unlocked doors and open windows... helping hands and honest hearts. 710 Mifflin was the center of our family — The "Board Room" and the "Banquet Room." But above all, it was the "Class Room." Our teachers were faith-filled immigrants who believed in the work of the hands. Many seeds were planted and nourished by my loving parents and grandparents. When I began making jewelry, the connection between their constant encouragement and the inner joy I received in creating something was readily apparent. Simplicity and beauty lived at 710 Mifflin Street. And it is 710 Mifflin I credit with whatever simple beauty you may find here.
